Butterfly effect
For De Vlinder – a warm and welcoming daycare named after “the butterfly” – I created a business signature that reflects both care and lightness. The design captures the gentle spirit of childhood, with soft shapes and playfulness.
The butterfly motif is central, symbolizing growth, curiosity, and the beauty of small beginnings. Paired with a friendly typeface and a soft color palette, the signature feels approachable and nurturing – just like the environment De Vlinder provides for its little ones.
This project is especially close to my heart. My own child was cared for at De Vlinder by our favourite Sylvia. Her warmth, patience, and presence helped both my child and me grow in the early years.
Designing for De Vlinder felt like giving something back to a place that gave us so much.
